Welcome to the new

Chiang Mai Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12074
Established in honor of
Squadron Leader John "Scarsdale Jack" Newkirk

(Updated 3 August 2008)

I think it is safe to report that the installation ceremony of our
Chiang Mai Post on the morning of the 17th of January 2008 at the
Grandview Hotel was an auspicious occasion to say the least!

U.S. Consul General Michael K. Morrow was in attendance to help celebrate the event
and among the 70-plus people there were our District and Regional Commanders,
members of the Pattaya, Bangkok and Udon Posts and many of the Regional VFW staff.

The buffet was a delight, the camaraderie so thick you could taste it and
in our gallery below are photos that are sure to delight one and all.

WE ARE A POST !

Since we are so proud to be the first new VFW Post in the Asia-Pacific Region in
